In 2011, with the help of the Sorel Organization, SongFest commissioned Libby Larsen to write three new works: a three-song cycle for baritone and piano, an aria for soprano and piano, and an ensemble piece for three sopranos, narrator, and piano. All the works were dedicated to Marcia Brown and Janet Loranger, longtime SongFest friends and board members.
